| 1 min read
If you aren’t an oatmeal eater because of the flavor or can’t get past the texture, this dish is perfect for you.
The apples are nice and crunchy (even when baked), which breaks up the texture of the oatmeal. Not to mention, apples also provide a multitude of health benefits such as:
- Lowering bad cholesterol with high amounts of pectin.
- Increasing bone density through a flavanoid found only in apples called phloridzin.
- High amounts of fiber to promote a healthy digestive tract.
- Antioxidants to protect brain cells from free radical damage.
Oatmeal is also good for your health. It is stocked full of fiber that will keep you from reaching for mid-morning snacks. This dish is easy to make and can be done the night before if your mornings are rushed and can also curb your cravings in a healthy way.
