Grilled Michigan Peaches with Lavender Honey and Goat Cheese {Video}

Michigan peaches are in season from July to September. This recipe, courtesy of Eurest Dining, is a delicious and healthy idea for a grilled summertime dessert.

Here’s a look at how it’s done:

Grilled Peaches with Lavender Honey and Goat Cheese

Serves: 8

Portion: 1/2 peach each

  • 4 Fresh ripe Michigan peaches (halved and pitted)
  • 8 tbsp. goat cheese
  • 4 tbsp. lavender honey
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil or canola oil
  1. Heat grill on high heat. Toss peaches in olive oil or canola oil. Place cut side down on the hot grill.
  2. Cook for approximately 2 to 2.5 minutes or until char line develops. Turn peaches a quarter of  a turn to create a crisscross char pattern, and cook for another two minutes until pattern develops.
  3. Flip peaches over so skin side is down. Cook until skin is slightly charred and fruit is somewhat tender.
  4. Place cooked warm peaches on serving dish and add one tablespoon of goat cheese in center of each peach half.
  5. Drizzle 1/2 tbsp. of lavender honey over each peach halve and serve immediately.
