kids all stars
Throughout the month of March, hundreds of Michigan kids have been hard at work getting healthy and staying active as part of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan‘s #MIKidsCan Train Like an All-Star Challenge.
By completing a series of healthy tasks each week, kids who pledge to Train Like an All-Star can be entered to win tickets to Kids’ Opening Day at Comerica Park on April 19.
As we head into the final week of the challenge, 1, 203 Michigan kids have taken the pledge and are headed for a home run. If you haven’t joined the challenge yet, there’s still time to take the pledge! Just be sure to register by March 31, at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Week 4 – Hydrate Like a Star

In Week 4 of the challenge, the Healthier Michigan team is sliding into home plate where we’ll work on staying hydrated. This week, aim to drink 5 cups (40 oz.) of water per day. Drinking water or other drinks with few or no calories can help you maintain a healthy weight.
We’d like to thank The Sage Family of Southgate for helping us kick off Week 4 of the #MIKidsCan Train Like an All-Star challenge. Watch the video below, and then head over to ahealthiermichigan.org/mikidscan to take the pledge and be entered to win.

Week 3 Prize Pack Winner

The Healthier Michigan team wants to remind parents to share challenge photos with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. In addition to the grand prize winners, we have one more prize pack to give away, so be sure to send us your pics using hashtag #MIKidsCan.
Congratulations to Erika of Stanton, Mich. on being our Week 3 #MIKidsCan All-Star prize pack winner! Here is her winning photo submitted via Twitter:
