Michigan Indian Family Fun Day
Drums beating. Families laughing. Arrows flying. Children racing. Friends reuniting.
These were among the sights and sounds at the 2016 Michigan Indian Family Olympics in Mount Pleasant. More than 1,000 members of Native American tribes throughout Michigan attended the Olympic-style games. Competitions included archery, lacrosse speed shot challenge, various track and field events, an obstacle course, basketball shot contests and more.
