A Healthier Michigan Podcast with Chuck Gaidica wins Best Podcast
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan’s A Healthier Michigan Podcast has been named “Best Podcast” in the 2020 PR Daily Digital Marketing and Social Media Awards. The podcast, which launched in the summer of 2018, is an extension of the A Healthier Michigan blog, and aims to educate and inform listeners about better health practices.
Beckie Christensen, director, External Affairs, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan feels the recognition exemplifies, “the value of the podcast as a communications platform.” In 2019, the show grew from 18 to 30 episodes, and downloads were just shy of tripling from the previous year. Christensen adds, “We are proud to produce content that is resonating with people as they seek healthy living.”
The BCBSM podcast team is thrilled with the honor and look forward to continuing the momentum with host Chuck Gaidica and health and wellness experts as they delve into topics including nutrition, fitness and mental health. Gaidica, a well-respected Michigan broadcast personality feels the award validates the important topics being highlighted and the great team behind it. “It is nice to know that we are reaching more and more people with our podcast. But to work with a team that values the health and wellness of others above all is awesome.”
New episodes are released on Thursdays every two weeks and can be found on all major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
