For her: Easy-to-make Bath Salts

  • Bottle or jar
  • Epsom Salts
  • Food Coloring
  • Perfume or Essential Oil

Measure out enough Epsom salts to fill your bottle or jar and add a few drops of your choice of food coloring. Mix it well until the color is even. Add your perfume or essential oil and mix again. Spread the mixture out on a sheet of wax paper to dry for a couple of hours. Once completely dry, put the salts back in the jar and add a ribbon for decoration.

TIP: The perfume or essential oil will blend better with the salt if it sits in the jar for a few weeks.

For him: Hidden Love Notes

Leave hidden love notes in various places where he will find them throughout the day. Great spots include the breast pocket of his jacket, his wallet, in the car, tucked away in his computer bag and other places you know he will find these great little reminders of why he’s so wonderful.

For the kids: Healthy, Heart-Shaped Treats

Valentine’s Day is also fun to celebrate with the kids!  Surprise them with a healthy, heart-shaped or Valentine-themed treats such as black bean brownie hearts, lovebug fruit cups or a healthy Valentine parfait. The kids can join in the fun too! Have them help you set up a variety of fruits to dip in heart-healthy dark chocolate.
