Plus, running helps reduce stress—something that many people feel more of during the holidays. Check out the list below to find a holiday race that’s close to you this season:

The Whoville 5K is one of West Michigan’s favorite holiday events and this year a second race day will give those on the east side of the state a chance to take part. Complete with a kid’s fun run and a finish line the Grinch would feel at home in, take part in this fun race and earn the hot cocoa and cookies provided afterward.

Festive outfits are strongly encouraged for this family-friendly 5K run or walk. Festive attire encouraged with prizes on the line. Runners will also enjoy cookies and hot chocolate at the finish.

This festive family event starts at MSU’s Jenison Field House and features a fun costume contest. Event proceeds support the Greater Lansing Food Bank, making the race a perfect combination of holiday cheer, Spartan spirit and charitable giving!

Join fellow runners for a children’s fun run and 5K starting at the Belle Isle Casino on beautiful Belle Isle Park. This race is the perfect way to end the year on a healthy note.

Start your New Year off on the right foot on New Year’s Eve with the 34th Annual Resolution Run. Join in the fun with 1,000 other runners and walkers as you celebrate 2019. This race is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network.

This event promotes a healthy, active lifestyle leading into the New Year and is a wonderful opportunity to support a community-focused cause, with proceeds benefiting Norte!
