Healthy Holiday Tree Wraps

With all the unhealthy platters that are usually shared at holiday parties and gatherings, bringing a healthy dish to eat is a great idea. This holiday tray of wraps is a cute and healthy idea to bring in to your child’s school party instead of another cookie or sweet treat.

When making a holiday dish, remember to keep your platters colorful and fill them with seasonal fruits and vegetables. If trying to keep in the holiday spirit, there are many red and green fruits and vegetables to stay on the healthy track this holiday season. Making simple finger foods are an easy way to keep portion sizes down and avoid over-eating.

  • Green spinach tortillas
  • Pesto
  • Slices of mozzarella cheese
  • Tomato, slices or sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • Optional: Add favorite lunch meat, such as salami, pancetta, ham or turkey
  • Yellow bell pepper (for the star)

Healthy Holiday Tree Wraps

1. Spread pesto on a green tortilla. Place slices of cheese and tomato (optional lunch meat) as well. Wrap tightly.
2. Cut wrap into cylindrical pieces. Stack wrap pieces into holiday tree.
3. Cut a star shape out of yellow bell pepper. Place on top. Serve and enjoy!
