apple brie and pesto pizza
Since Michigan is such a large producer of apples, they are a great topping to put on pizza this fall season. Apples are the largest and most valuable fruit crop in Michigan, with over 16 varieties grown right in this state.
Apples are also a nutritional powerhouse that contain vitamin C, B-complex vitamins, dietary fiber and more. The health benefits of apples goes on and on as they can help reduce the risk of developing cancer, hypertension, diabetes and heart disease.
While you might not normally pair pizza and apples together, they top this pizza perfectly to make a sweet and savory bite to eat.
