Overnight oats are a staple in my house. They’re easy, healthy and filling. All you need is: Oats, milk and some toppings!
For the first time, Meijer is entering into the health insurance space in a new partnership with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan on a Medicare Advantage plan. The plan’s benefits include a $0 monthly premium, $0 annual deductible, $0 primary care visits and a $660 in-store-allowance, among other benefits. That $660 allowance can be used toward many of the ingredients we’ll be using today!
My go-to recipe for overnight oats is cinnamon apple overnight oats. Here’s how you make it:

Cooking Difficulty:

Easy

Serving Amount
Ingredients
  • 13 cup old fashioned oats

  • 12 cup low-fat milk or milk substitute

  • 2 tbsp Greek yogurt

  • 12 cup apples, chopped

  • 12 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 18 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 2 tsp chia seeds

Instructions
  • Step 1

Start with your oats – stick with old fashioned rolled oats for the best texture. For me, 1/2 cup makes the perfect amount of overnight oats for my breakfast.

  • Step 2

You want to add twice as much liquid as oats. You can use any kind of milk – I like oat milk.

  • Step 3

Now, here’s my secret ingredient: Greek yogurt. It adds protein and makes the oats super creamy.

  • Step 4

Finally, add your sweeteners, spices and other toppings, and don’t forget a pinch of salt to enhance the flavors. Cover with a lid and refrigerate overnight. That’s it!
