Michigan Cantaloupe and Prosciutto Skewers {Recipe}

Fall is a great time to enjoy delicious and ripe Michigan cantaloupes. This sweet and savory cantaloupe appetizer is great for an end of summer BBQ or to bring along to an upcoming football tailgate.

This recipe, adapted from Food Network, is the perfect finger food to share with family and friends.

What you’ll need:


  • ½ Michigan Cantaloupe
  • ½ lb sliced prosciutto
  • Fresh basil
  • ½ cup reduced fat feta cheese
  • Decorative skewers or toothpicks


  1. Cut cantaloupe into 1-2 inch cubes
  2. Break feta cheese into small 1 inch pieces
  3. Roll prosciutto slices and set aside
  4. Wash and roll fresh basil (or simply fold in half) and set aside
  5. Arrange, one piece of cantaloupe, prosciutto role-up, basil role-up and lastly cubed feta cheese onto a decorative skewer
  6. Enjoy!
