Making Sure No Kid Goes Hungry in Southeast Michigan this Summer

Far too many kiddos in the greater Detroit area miss healthy meals every day while they’re on summer break.

That’s why a huge network of Michigan companies, schools and recreation centers are working together to make sure no kid goes hungry in Southeast Michigan. The Meet Up and Eat Up program wants our kids to live and play this summer the right way – with a full belly! Last year, more than 1.65 million kids enjoyed free, healthy meals and the team is at it again hoping for the same success.

All hungry children are welcome! Here are just a few of many places kids can go to find these healthy food program sites in Metro Detroit:

  • School District of the City of Wyandotte
  • School District of the City of Lincoln Park
  • Children’s Resource Network Center

  • Institute for Population Health
  • Cass Community Social Services Inc.
  • Detroit City School District

North Metro Detroit

  • Lamphere Public Schools
  • Southfield Public School District
  • Samaritan Homes, Inc.

The list goes on and on! Want to find out if there is a Meet Up and Eat Up site near you? Click here and find out!
