We’re excited today the launch the 2014 #MIKidsCan contest, which asks Michigan kids ages 7-14 to answer the question, “What’s your favorite way to get moving and be active?”
There’s two ways to enter the contest (and win big!):
  • Upload a video: Get moving and show us how you stay active in a short YouTube or Instagram video! The winner of the video contest receives a school assembly or organization meet-and-greet with Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford. Before you begin filming, be sure to also check out our tips for how to shoot a “WOW” video.
  • Write a short essay and submit a photo: Sometimes it’s easier said than done, which is why Michigan kids can also enter the contest by answering the question through a 200-300-word essay submission. Don’t forget to also illustrate your essay with a photo or artwork! The winner of this contest will receive an invite to the Lions Thanksgiving Game, as well as autographed Matthew Stafford gear.
We can’t wait to see and/or read about all the great things Michigan kids are doing to get moving and be active! Call for submissions runs September 2 – October 29, 2014 – so start brainstorming today!
