Located at the corner of Chandler Park Drive and Canyon on Detroit’s East Side, the recently renovated Balduck Park is a great place to spend an active afternoon, in any season. The park has four newly manicured softball fields, wide open field areas for soccer, football, frisbee or anything in between. Basketball courts are located on the back end of the park but what the park is “famous” for is the sizable hill the park has, which in the summer and warm weather months is used mostly for running or sports training and in the winter is the East Side hot spot for snow sledding. The hill becomes so popular in the winter that sometimes it will overcrowd, but with cold weather and snowy days on the horizon, be sure to check out the hill at Balduck Park for a enjoyable and active winter experience!
