Win by Losing: Easy-to-make baked salmon recipe (with video)

This week A Healthier Michigan is featuring a heart healthy salmon for our recipe of the week. The instructions are listed below as well as an instructional video with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Registered Dietitian, Susan Okonkowski.

Ingredients:

4-5 sprigs of parsley

1 lemon

Two 4 oz salmon filets

1-2 cloves of chopped garlic

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Grab a small cookie sheet and wrap it in tin foil.

Next grab a non-stick canola oil spray, and spray your covered cookie sheet.

Wash your parsley and then chop it.

Take your lemon, wash it thoroughly, then cut half of the lemon into thin slices.

Take your salmon filets, leaving the skin on, and place them on your sheet.

Take your chopped parsley and sprinkle some on your salmon.

Take garlic, sprinkle on your salmon,

Take half of your lemon, and squeeze onto salmon.

Use leftover slices of lemon and place them on salmon.

After oven is preheated, place salmon in the oven for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes remove the salmon.

Let cool and enjoy!
