12 Days of Holiday Recipes Day 6: Icy, Booze-Free Punch

There may be many drinks floating around during your holiday season, but have you thought about a tasty, kid-friendly option? We’ve already shared with you the yummy recipe for Ginger-Spiced Hot Cocoa, but here is a great idea to give the kids – and adults – a sweet, cool treat at only 73 calories per serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (6 ounces) cherry gelatin
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 can (46 ounces) pineapple juice
  • 6 cups cold water
  • 2 liters ginger ale, chilled

Directions

In a 4-qt. freezer-proof container, dissolve gelatin and sugar in boiling water. Stir in pineapple juice and cold water. Cover and freeze overnight. Remove from the freezer 2 hours before serving. Place in a punch bowl; stir in ginger ale just before serving. Yield: 32-36 servings (5-3/4 quarts).

  1. This is a nice, tasty punch recipe!  I used it for the third time today and it has been a big hit both at home for the holiday season and at church gatherings.
    Thanks for thinking of us who need a nonalcoholic punch. This makes plenty for a pretty of servings for around 40-50 people.
