The Biggest Loser Diet Plan

I love watching The Biggest Loser and I think the show does positive things for the participants involved. It gives them a kick-start, lots of motivation and the tools necessary to start living a healthy lifestyle.

The show weighs in each contestant on the first episode, all of whom are morbidly obese. They are thoroughly evaluated by medical professionals and will have to face the truth related to their unhealthy lifestyle. They are then split into two teams and assigned a personal trainer.

The Challenge Begins

Throughout the weeks, contestants are challenged by food temptations and physical challenges. The two people with the lowest percentage of weight-loss are up for elimination each week. The person with the highest percentage of weight-loss at the end of the season wins a quarter of a million dollars.

The end result for most contestants is extraordinary weight-loss and a brand new beginning to life. The Biggest Loser is casting contestants for Season 12. Apply now.

The Reality of the Show

The downside to the show is that the schedule the contestants are given isn’t realistic for “normal” people to follow. They have access to the world’s top trainers, workout for hours a day, and have access to healthy food options. I can’t imagine that many of us have those opportunities, especially with busy schedules and limited budgets.
