BCBSM AND MOVEMBER:

CHANGING THE FACE OF MEN'S HEALTH IN MICHIGAN

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men's faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo's, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives.

grow your mo'

The moustache has been around since pre-history, and has since evolved into a masculine means for self-expression. Whether you're looking to go abstract like Salvador Dal', or old-fashioned with the handlebar, let it grow with glory this Movember. Register at http://us.movember.com to learn about moustachery at its finest, share photos, stories, and enter a video in the annual Moscars Film Awards.

Get a checkup

Most cancers are highly curable if caught in the early stages, and Movember aims to increase early detection, diagnosis, and effective treatment. Close the gap between the state of men's and women's health by proactively scheduling an annual physical. Getting annual checkups, preventative screening tests and immunizations are among the most important things you can do to stay healthy.

share your photo

The moustache is our ribbon -- share yours. Raise awareness and funds for men's health issues by sharing snaps of your 'stache and joining in on the greater Movember community. On Instagram? Follow @Movember and tag your Mo photos with #Movember to become part of our stream.
