all star challenge 2
Hey there, kids! You’ve made it to week two of the #MIKidsCan Train Like an All-Star Challenge. Congrats!
Last week more than 1,000 Michigan kids took the pledge to Train Like an All-Star by completing four fun and healthy activities throughout the month of March. We’ve received pledges from across the state including Rockford, Lansing, Interlochen, New Baltimore, Hillsdale, Sault Sainte Marie, Livonia, Marquette, Detroit and many more.

Week 2 – Eat Like a Star!

In week two, we’re making our way to second base where we want to see you Eat Like a Star! Eat three servings of fruits or vegetables each day. People who eat more fruits and vegetables, as part of an overall healthy diet, are likely to have a reduced risk of some chronic diseases.
We’d like to thank The Sage Family of Southgate for helping us kick off Week 2 of the #MIKidsCan Train Like an All-Star challenge. Watch the video below, and then head over to ahealthiermichigan.org/mikidscan to take the pledge and be entered to win tickets to Kids’ Opening Day at Comerica Park on April 19!
Be sure to check back here next week for more details about the next challenge. For more information or to register a child to participate in the #MIKidsCan Train Like an All-Star challenge , visit AHealthierMichigan.org/mikidscan.

Week 1 Prize Pack Winner

The Healthier Michigan team really enjoyed seeing the #MIKidsCan challenge photos you shared with us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. In addition to the grand prize winners, each week we will randomly select one winner to receive an All-Star prize pack from the publicly shared challenge photos featuring the hashtag #MIKidsCan.
We want to congratulate Jenna of Canton on being our first weekly #MIKidsCan All-Star prize pack winner! Here is Jenna’s winning photo:
