Ford Field yoga
Bright and early on Saturday February 22, over 2,000 yoga enthusiasts arrived at Ford Field in hopes of setting a record for the world’s largest indoor yoga session. ComePlayDetroit and Yoga Shelter collaborated to host Yoga Rocks Ford Field, the first yoga class of its size to be held in Detroit. Renowned Yogi and Yoga Shelter Founder, Erik Paskel, led participants in traditional yoga stretches and poses. The 75 minute event also featured live music and an exhilarating celebration of fitness and mental health.
Prior to taking the field, local vendors filled the Ford Field concourse providing everything from natural smoothie samples and free massages to yoga apparel. After their exercise, attendees also had the option of enjoying bus tours of downtown Detroit provided by Dhive Detroit. Participants of all ages from across the Midwest came out to share the experience.
