Festive choice:
Ideal for using up Thanksgiving leftovers, this tasty delight perfectly brings to life the flavors of Turkey Day and will give your child a healthy dose of antioxidants (thanks to the cranberries) and lean protein (thanks to the turkey). It’s a great weekend lunch option too – just toss it in the grill pan to make a toasty Panini.

  • 1 tablespoon light mayonnaise
  • 1 red onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 slices of whole wheat bread
What to do:
  • Chop red onion very fine and mix with cranberry sauce.
  • Spread thin layer of mayonnaise on one slice of bread. Spread cranberry-onion mix on the other slice.
  • Layer turkey slices and cheese on one of the bread slices. Top with the second slice.
