Where will you be going for your pumpkins?

Pumpkin patch
The trees have started turning colors and children are thinking about what to be for Halloween. One of my favorite fall activities is to go to the pumpkin patch. In Michigan we are fortunate to have tons of pumpkin patches around the state. Below I highlighted some pumpkin patches throughout Michigan.
Three Cedars Farm, Northville: This farm just outside of Detroit allows you to pick your own pumpkins, pricing is based on size. It also includes a seven acre corn maze as well as a hayride, a barn yard play land and bonfire sites.
Uncle John’s Cider Mill, St Johns: Located in mid Michigan, Uncle John’s Cider Mill has many different activities for all ages. There is a pumpkin patch and pumpkins are sold by weight starting at $0.35/lb. There are games for children, wagon rides, a corn maze, cider mill and even a winery.
Bethke Farms, Grand Haven: Bethke Farms is a quick drive from Grand Rapids, Muskegon and Holland with fields of pumpkins that make it an authentic pumpkin picking experience for your family. There are also have hayrides and a corn maze.
Paul’s Pumpkin Patch, Buckley: This patch is in Buckley, MI, about 20 miles outside of Traverse City. There is a pumpkin patch along with train rides, hay rides and pony rides. Pumpkins start out at $0.50 and go up based on size.
When I was a kid I looked forward to picking out my pumpkin each year with my siblings and cousins. Afterward we would have a pumpkin carving contest or my uncle would hide the pumpkins for us to find around his yard. Does your family have a favorite pumpkin patch you visit every fall? Do you have any traditions involving pumpkins?
